DESCRIPTION: Ninn Worx bills Clique as being helmed by "the first truly haute couture director of the female persuasion." OK, fine. We admit it: We had to look up what the heck "haute couture" actually means. So what? On the upside, we did learn that (at least according to dictionary.com) the term defines as, "[t]he leading establishments or designers for the creation of exclusive fashions." After looking at this show, we can see why Michael both chose to use this term, and chose to bring a completely new director to the scene in German-born Lorraine Sisco. In this first installment, Lorraine had actually completed a full "movie shoot" before she came to Michael and team for assistance. Michael took a look at the footage, took a look at her, added her performance to the equation, and (after a B-Unit day of further production) set his team to work creating a "Ninn-look" to the movie. Essentially, this resulted. With another installment on the schedule for June, covering a shoot that Michael will Art Direct from its inception, it remains to be seen where Ms. Sisco will evolve, but this much shows clear already: She has a unique eye for strong women in dazzling display. Consequently, while we honestly enjoyed this show, and it may be one of the best "Swingers' Party" DVDs we've seen to date, we're also looking forward with happy anticipation to the further communion of these two rare talents in Lorraine and Michael. And as for not understanding some of Michael's "fashion" terms, we're not overly concerned. He's a typically American Caucasian male that regularly uses terms like "cat" – to refer to a person, and "funk" – to refer to what he calls "ism" (if that helps any) ... and he owns probably more than 1,000 pairs of women's shoes stored in at least three production locations across the globe. Make of that what you will.
